About This Project

SDA was appointed as the Build Own and Operate contractor for the Midfield Meats International cogeneration project under a 15 year contract to supply heat and power to the Warrnambool works in Victoria.

Main features:

• The power plant consisted of a MWM TCG 2020V16 gas generator with a 1550kW electrical output
• Waste heat recovery of 1700 kW thermal delivered to the processing plant as hot water.
• Ability to operate in island mode on loss of mains, including black start feature
• High energy efficiency saving 9,600 tons of CO2 per annum.
